With the win over No. 4 Purdue, Wisconsin is now 4-1 vs. opponents ranked in the AP Top 25 this season. UW also defeated No. 21 Maryland, No. 6 Duke and No. 15 Ohio State.
Under Bo Ryan, the Badgers are 20-7 (.741) at the Kohl Center vs. ranked foes.
Wisconsin is 10-0 at home this season and owns a 15-game winning streak overall at the Kohl Center.
This is the Badgers second win over a top-10 opponent this season (UW beat #6 Duke 73-69 on Dec. 2). It marks the first time since the 2006-07 season that Wisconsin knocked off two top-10 teams in one season (89-75 over #2 Pittsburgh and 72-69 over #5 Ohio State).
Wisconsin extends its home-winning streak to 15 games, including a 10-0 mark this year.
With Jordan Taylor scoring 23 points and Jason Bohannon adding 20, the Badgers had two 20-point scorers in the same game for the first time since earlier this year at Green Bay when Trevon Hughes had 27 and Jon Leuer poured in 26.
The Badgers had eight turnovers in the game and two in the second half. Purdue was forcing 18.4 turnovers per game coming into the contest.
Wisconsin's 43 points in the second half were the most the Badgers scored in a half versus a Big Ten opponent since scoring 45 against Indiana on March 8, 2009.
The Badgers' win snapped a four-game losing streak to the Boilermakers dating back to the 2006-07 season.
Wisconsin's 73 points were the most Purdue has given up this season and the 66 points scored by the Boilermakers was their second-lowest output of the season. Purdue had 64 in a win over Central Michigan on Nov. 28.
