Glencoe, Ill. - In the precursor to next spring's Big Ten Women's Golf Championships, Wisconsin is in eighth place after 36 holes with a 305-297--602 at the 54-hole Lady Northern Invitational. The conference championship will be played April 24-26 on the par 72 Lake Shore Country Club in Evanston, Ill.
Purdue is in the lead with a 572, six strokes ahead of Ohio State. Northwestern (586) is in third place, followed by Texas Tech (592) and Indiana (595). Northwestern's Lauren Weaver and Indiana's Lindsay Gahm are currently tied for the individual lead with a 5-under-par 139.
Wisconsin was led by Lindsay Danielson, who recorded a 73-74--147 to finish tied for 16th. Alyssa Elliott is tied for 36th with a 152 and freshman Kris Yoo is tied for 39th with a 153. Yoo's second round score of 73 sets a new 18-hole best score.
Carly Werwie and Jessie Gerry both finished the day tied for 44th with a 10-over-par 154.
The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
