Coach Mark Eaves

All these are good teaching days for you, but these seemed to have a long list. What stands out in your mind in terms of plays that you wanted to drive home after today.

"You cannot come to the rink not ready to play and be on your toes. Paul and I were talking about human nature and if you just beat a team by what we beat them, out shot them by what we shot, had a day off and with all the activities going on in town we thought it was a good idea to bring them in during half time, have a meeting. We got together watched the game and we say and do all the right things, but if that natural emotion isn't there where you are jacked and ready to play, the result is, we found ourselves in a heck of a game."

"Now Huntsville Alabama, they came in here ready to play. As a result, it was an ultimately competitive game; they did exactly what they needed to do. They played harder, they got to the net, and they did things that kept them in the game. We were not ready, but thank goodness we responded well. Jordy Murray stepped up to the plate and got some big goals for us."

When you lose the amount of talent you did, is it natural for a player like Jordy [Murray] to put more pressure on his shoulders. Did you see that he tried to move his game to the next level

"If you talked to Jordy about his year last year, it was a frustrating year; he never got going to his expectations. He hurt his shoulder a few times, and was nicked up all year. He never got in a true rhythm. After talking to him this summer, and seeing his physical development, he is going to come into his own now. He had a tough year, worked hard during the summer. I am not surprised; these are the types of things he can do, and the types of things he can provide for this team."

Player Quotes:

Jordy Murray

On his last hat trick
"senior year of high school, I can't even remember to be honest."

After a year ago you went through some troubles, health wasn't quite where you wanted it to be all year, is this the start you envisioned going into the season, knowing that you would be a go to guy

"This summer I was hoping to be a player that would contribute even more. I just go out there and work hard every day. I was fortunate today to get three fortunate bounces, and it worked out for me."

No hats, did you notice

"Yeah I noticed, but its football Sunday. Everyone just wanted to get home and watch a game."

Mark Zengerle

On the goal

"I was trying to pass it back door to Jordy [Murray], I'm pretty sure it went off the guy's skate and just went in."

Feeling more comfortable after four games

"I felt a lot better this weekend, playing with Jordy and [Craig] Smith is pretty easy. I just get the puck in deep, and try and work hard."

Jake Gardiner

Challenge of leadership, knowing you play Friday, have a day off, and play again Sunday

"We are not used to playing our games Friday, Sunday, especially at 1:00 in the afternoon. We kind of had a sluggish start today. Coach just told us to get the team fired up, and that's what we did after the first period."

On power play

"The puck was bouncing a bit today; we were not as sharp as we have been. [We] just need to work on some things and we will get better every day."

Sean Dolan

What did you learn on the process of trying to get the team ready, under unusual circumstances

"It's not an easy thing to do, we did have a sluggish start like Jake said, but we responded well, and certain guys stepped up to the task."
