BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Wisconsin volleyball team (16-15, 5-15) finished up its season Saturday night in Bloomington, Ind., as it fell to the Hoosiers (21-11, 9-11), 3-0. A third set comeback was not enough to come out with the win as the Badgers ended their season with a 16-25, 20-25, 24-26 loss.

 Fast Facts
• Three seniors finished off their Big Ten season tonight
• Wack finished her final match as a Badger with 7 kills
• Kuzma finishes career with 1,553 digs

Dominique Thompson led the way for the Badgers making nine kills on the night while Allison Wack finished off her career as a Badger with seven kills.

Janelle Gabrielsen made a match-high 26 kills and 14 digs in the loss and Alexis Mitchell posted a team-high two blocks.

Hoosier's Kelci Marschall made a match-high 13 kills and posted a .550 hitting percentage while Ivie Obeime finished close behind with 10 kills.

Mary Chaudoin made 23 assists for Indiana and their 6-3 senior, Ashley Benson, finished with a match-high nine blocks.

Accuracy made a huge difference in the match, as well as in blocking, as Indiana made 42 kills and finished with a .309 hitting percentage in comparison to Wisconsin's 33 kills and .061 hitting percentage. Indiana out-blocked Wisconsin 15-4 on the night.

The Hoosiers also finished ahead in the match with 41 assists and three service aces while the Badgers had 30 total assists and one service ace.

Indiana came out of the gates strong in the first match and never looked back. The Hoosiers made an early 8-2 lead and held the lead for the rest of the set. Indiana closed out the set by going on a 4-1 run to take the score from 20-10 to 24-12, but the Badgers fought back holding the team to five set points going on their own 4-0 run. The Hoosiers eventually took the set with a kill from Marschall for the 25-16 win.

Wisconsin used its momentum from the end to the first set to start the second set with a 3-0 advantage. Indiana answered back and the two teams fought all the way to a 15-15 tie when the Hoosiers made their move with two runs, 3-0 and then 4-1, to push ahead. The runs brought the scores from 15-15 to 18-15, and 18-15 to 22-18. Despite each team scoring two more points, the Badgers were not able to hold their opponent falling in the 25-20 set.

The Badgers were not able to go down that easily in their final match of the season and kept on pace with Indiana with two quick tied scores to start off the third set. The Hoosiers made a push to find a little cushion after a 3-0 run to bring the score from 9-7 to 12-7, and they kept the advantage for most of the set.

The set found itself with two late tied scores at 19 and then again at 20, and the two teams battled it out for another tie at 23. Wisconsin gained the advantage and found set-point with a block from Mitchell and Annemarie Hickey, but Indiana knotted up the score again at 24-24. Two attack errors for the Badgers finished off the match, though, as the Hoosiers took the final set, 26-24.

Looking forward to the 2011-2012 season, the Badgers are set to return 14 players as they only lose three seniors, Allison Wack, Kim Kuzma, Jessa Benson, as well as redshirt junior, Ashley Wiedmeyer.
