MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin softball program is inviting area softball players, ages 8-18, to take part in the 2010 University of Wisconsin Softball Summer Skills Camp. The camp takes place from June 20-23 at Goodman Diamond.
There are three ways that players can take part in the camp.
The UW overnight camper will take part in drills designed to improve skills in all aspects of the game, including hitting, defense, throwing, pitching and catching. In addition, the campers will stay overnight at the Statesider, a private dormitory located at 505 N Francis St. in Madison. The dining hall will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.
UW commuter campers will receive all the same drills and instructions as the overnight campers, except the overnight stay in the dormitory.
Badger Day Camp also runs from June 21-23 and is designed for younger players just learning the game. The focus of the Day Camp will be on the fundamentals of the game, including hitting, fielding and throwing.
For more information on the camp, please see the PDF at the top of the page, or contact assistant softball coach Roanna Brazier at rb2@athletics.wisc.edu or 608-265-6153.
