MADISON, Wis. – There is still time to sign up your son or daughter for the Wisconsin Volleyball camps this summer. The Badgers will hold six camps during the month of July for volleyball players entering the eighth through 12th grades this fall. All camps will be taught by members of the UW coaching staff and players.
All campers receive a free camp t-shirt and free camp volleyball as well as a ticket to a 2010 UW volleyball home match. All sessions begin in the UW Field House and campers are bused to other campus facilities as needed.
Setters and liberos may attend a special camp on July 5-7. Participants will be taught basic and advanced setting and passing skills. Cost of either camp is $120 for commuters and $140 for residents.
Two all-skills camps for girls will be held on July 8-10 and July 12-14. Campers work on individual skills and training as well as compete in matches against other campers. Cost of the all-skills camp is $245 for commuters and $285 for residents.
A boys’ all-skills camp will be held on July 12-14 and also covers individual skills and training while allowing time for competition. Cost of the boys’ camp is $245 for commuters and $285 for residents.
Girls’ junior varsity and varsity teams will take on other teams during the Girls Team Competition Camp on July 16-18. The camp is designed to improve team skills and cohesiveness while also focusing on team competition. Cost of the team camp is $245 for commuters and $285 for residents. A minimum of eight players per team is required for this camp.
