MANKATO, Minn. - Sophomore Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) recorded four points, including a hat trick, to lead No. 1 Wisconsin (29-2-2, 23-2-2-2 WCHA) to a 4-0 win over Minnesota State (8-22-3, 7-19-1-0 WCHA) at All Seasons Arena Friday night.

Senior Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.) recorded three assists, moving her career point total to a UW program record 220 points. Duggan surpasssed the previous record of 218 points held by Sara Bauer.

Decker opened the scoring at 17:16 of the first period, burying the puck off a feed from Duggan. The tally proved to be the game-winner, marking Decker's nation-leading 10th game-winning goal of the season.

The Badgers added three second-period goals to seal the 4-0 victory for the team's ninth shutout of the season.

Decker scored her second-straight goal at 3:37 of the second. Duggan and junior Carolyne Prevost (Sarnia, Ontario) assisted on the play. Senior Anne Dronen extended UW's lead to three with a short-handed goal at the 11-minute mark. Decker was credited with the assist.

The Badgers added a power-play tally late in the second when Decker completed her hat trick off a feed from junior Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) and Duggan.

With the win, Wisconsin extended its unbeaten streak to 19 games at 17-0-2 since falling to Minnesota Duluth Nov. 28, 2010.

Goaltender Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) made 14 saves in her sixth career shutout. The win also marked the freshman's 20th win of her career. Alli Altmann made 34 saves in net for Minnesota State and fell to 4-18-2 on the season.

The Badgers outshot the Mavericks, 38-14, after being outshot 8-7 in the first period.

In a game that saw 24 penalties, UW finished the game 1-for-6 with the man advantage while holding Minnesota State scoreless on its four power-play opportunities.
