About Wisconsin Brand Communications
The Wisconsin brand communications office publicizes the achievements of Wisconsin’s athletic programs and promotes its student-athletes and coaches through original content, external media opportunities and other publicity campaigns.
The department facilitates communication between the athletic department and its external constituents to increase the awareness and interest in the Wisconsin Badgers.
Email Distribution
Press releases, media availability information, recaps, statistics and other information are emailed to the media by the athletic communications office. Media members that would like to be added to Wisconsin Athletics email distribution lists should contact the staff’s sport contacts.
Interviews
During competition seasons, Wisconsin holds regular media availabilities with coaches and student-athletes. All interviews with student-athletes should be arranged through the brand communications office. Student-athletes have been instructed to not conduct interviews without coordination by the brand communications staff. Credentials
The brand communications department handles all media credentials for Badger events. Credentials are granted to professional media, working for accredited media organizations and outlets. Requests for football and men’s basketball credentials can be submitted through UW’s online credential form. Credential requests for all other sports should be directed to individual sport contacts, listed below.
Content Requests
The brand communications office provides television networks and other external media with photos, video footage, statistics and other information to support coverage of the Badgers. To request multimedia and other information, contact the Badgers’ staff below.
