TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin won its fourth straight game and improved to 16-5 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten.
• The Badgers improved to 6-2 away from the Kohl Center this season, including 4-2 in true road games.
• UW’s 6 road/neutral wins are the most in the Big Ten and the Badgers’ 4 wins in true road games is tied with Michigan State for most in the conference.
• UW has now defeated Illinois in 9 of its last 13 matchups and has won in 4 of its last 6 trips to Assembly Hall in Champaign, Ill.
• The Badgers recorded their first win over a ranked team this season. It also marked UW’s first road win over a ranked team since winning at No. 23 Michigan on Dec. 31, 2008, snapping a streak of 10 straight road losses to ranked foes.
• Wisconsin has now won at Purdue and at Illinois in the same season for the first time since 1918.
• UW won its 53rd consecutive game when shooting a higher field goal percentage than its opponent (UW 44.4%, ILL 43.6%).
• The Badgers owned a 33-31 advantage on the glass, moving to 14-0 this season when winning the rebounding battle.
• Wisconsin made 40.9 percent from 3-point range (9-for-22), marking the third time in four games the badgers have shot 40 percent or better from beyond the arc. UW is 10-0 this season when hitting that benchmark.
• After turning the ball over 8 times in the first half, Wisconsin finished with just 10 total turnovers. UW leads the nation averaging 9.0 turnovers per game.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Jordan Taylor finished with a game-high 19 points and a season-high 9 rebounds. He also dished out 5 assists without a turnover and added 1 steal. Taylor scored 7 points (5-for-6 at the free throw line) in the final 32 seconds.
• Taylor has now scored in double figures in 11 straight and 17 of the last 18 games.
• Taylor now has 1,297 career points, moving him past Sean Mason (1,294) for 14th on UW’s all-time scoring list.
• In the final 5:00 of games this season, Taylor is shooting 58.3 percent from the field, 44.4 percent on 3-pointers and is 28-of-35 (80.0 percent) at the free throw line.
• Jared Berggren scored 19 points, the second-highest total of his career. He added 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 1 steal.
