TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin improved to 175-16 (.915) at the Kohl Center under Bo Ryan, including a mark of 85-9 (.904) in Big Ten Conference home games.
• The Badgers won their 10th-consecutive Big Ten opener. Wisconsin is one of just three teams in the nation to win each of their last 10 conference openers, joining Kansas and Gonzaga.
• UW notched its 16th-straight home win over Penn State, the conference's fourth-longest active home win streak vs. a Big Ten opponent. Overall, the Badgers have won 16 of the last 18 meetings with the Nittany Lions.
• Bo Ryan improved to 133-54 (.711) in Big Ten games, the second-highest winning percentage in conference history (trailing only Ohio State's Thad Matta, .712).
• The Badgers closed out the first half on a 15-2 run, holding Penn State scoreless for a 6:20 span at one point during the run.
• UW held Penn State to just 18 points in the first half, marking the sixth time this season the Badgers have kept an opponent below 20 in the opening stanza.
• Wisconsin held Penn State to just 51 points, marking the 17th-straight opponent the Badgers have held to 60 or fewer points at the Kohl Center, the longest active streak in the nation.
• The Badgers' four turnovers is a season low and the team's fewest since turning it over four times at North Carolina on Nov. 30, 2011.
• For the first time this season, Wisconsin shut out an opponent at the free throw line, allowing Penn State just one attempt, a miss, at the charity stripe.
• Wisconsin had just seven team fouls, its second lowest total of the season and fewest in a Big Ten game since having seven against Nebraska on Jan. 15, 2012.
• Wisconsin finished the night with four players with double-digit scoring performances, marking the 11th time this season the Badgers have had three or more players post double figure scoring performances. Wisconsin is 10-1 when it has three or more players score in double digits.
• Wisconsin's starting five, Evans, Bruesewitz, Berggren, Brust and Jackson, scored 57 of its 60 points and improves to 4-1 as a starting unit.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior Ryan Evans tallied 13 points, his fourth consecutive double-digit scoring game and ninth of the season. Wisconsin holds a record of 8-1 when Evans records double-digit points. Evans was just one board shy of a double-double, finishing with a team-best nine rebounds.
• Senior Jared Berggren finished with 13 points, his fourth consecutive and 12th double-digit scoring performance this season. Berggren scored nine points in the first half and was held scoreless in the second half until back-to-back dunks with less than two minutes remaining in the game.
• Senior Jared Berggren's three blocks gives him 99 for his career, equaling Marcus Landry (2006-09) for fifth on UW's all-time blocks list.
• Junior Ben Brust scored 13 points, his seventh double-digit scoring performance of the year.
• Senior Mike Bruesewitz scored 10 points in the second half on his way to 12 points and his fourth double-digit scoring performance of the season. Bruesewitz finished the night with eight rebounds, one off a season best.
