TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin has now won five straight games and improves to 11-4 on the season.
• UW begins the Big Ten season 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
• The Badgers won their Big Ten road opener for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.
• Wisconsin has also won eight of its last nine road games against unranked Big Ten opponents.
• With the win, Bo Ryan now owns the best career winning percentage in Big Ten history, improving to 143-54 (.713).
• Under Bo Ryan, the Badgers are now 63-62 in true road games. UW’s 63 road wins are the most in the Big Ten over the last 12 seasons and it is the only Big Ten team with a winning road record in that span.
• Wisconsin won its fourth straight over Nebraska. During that four-game win streak, Nebraska has averaged just 41.8 points per game.
• UW held Nebraska to a season-low 41 points. The Badgers have now held five opponents below 50 points this season. Wisconsin is 78-2 (.975) under Ryan when holding teams below 50.
• The Badgers recorded their fewest points in a winning effort since a 47-45 win over South Carolina on Dec. 4, 1986.
• UW's 47 points were its fewest in a Big Ten conference win since a 35-29 win over Michigan State on Feb. 16, 1951.
• Wisconsin has held each of its last nine opponents to 60 or fewer points, shrinking its scoring defense average to 54.9 points per game.
• UW improved to 10-0 on the season when shooting a higher field goal percentage than its opponent and 9-0 when owning the rebounding edge.
• The Badgers had just six turnovers at Nebraska, marking their fifth-straight game with fewer than 10 giveaways. Wisconsin lowered its NCAA-leading turnover average to just 8.7 per game.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior Ryan Evans tallied his fourth double-double of the season and the sixth of his career with 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.
• Evans’ 15 rebounds are the most for a UW player since Jon Leuer had 15 at Iowa on Feb. 9, 2011.
• Evans is now tied with Ben Brust (4) for the most double-doubles in the Big Ten this season.
• Senior Jared Berggren finished with a team-high 13 points. He has scored in double figures 13 times this season, including five straight games.
• Berggren also posted three blocks on the day, giving him 102 in his career and moving him into a tie with Kurt Portman for fourth in Wisconsin history. Berggren is averaging a Big Ten-best 2.1 blocks per game.
• Senior Mike Bruesewitz finished with five points and a season-high 10 rebounds, marking the fourth time in his career he has notched double-digits boards.
