ERIN, Wis. -- The Badgers remained in 10th place after the second round of the 54-hole Erin Hills Intercollegiate being held Oct. 6-8 at the Erin Hills Golf Course near Hartford, Wis.
Stanford continues to shine with an 11-under 280-285--665 to lead the 14-team tournament. Stanford's Patrick Rodgers and SMU's Bryson Dechambeau are tied for first at 4-under 140.
The Badgers remained in 10th place but shot a season 36-hole best 295-305--601. One of the bright spots today was the play of Zach Balit who had five birdies enrout to tying his career 18-hole best with a 1-under 71. He is tied for 25th with career 36-hole best a 76-71--147.
Also scoring for the Badgers was Robert Jacobsen a stroke back and tied for 30th with 71-77--148. Jack Watson is tied for 49th with 73-79--152. And Matt Ross is tied for 64th with 75-81--156.
Play concludes Tuesday with 18 holes with teams paired off both nines beginning at 8:30 a.m.
