TEAM NOTES
• Bo Ryan improved his career record to 666-211 (.759), tying Dennis Bridges (Illinois Wesleyan, 1966-2001) for 37th on the NCAA’s all-time wins list.
• Wisconsin beat Illinois for the fifth-consecutive time and swept the season series with the Illini for the second year in a row.
• The Badgers improved to 3-2 in Big Ten road games on the season and 9-5 (.643) in conference road games over the last two seasons. UW’s nine wins and win percentage are both tops in the Big Ten over the last two seasons.
• Wisconsin equaled its Big Ten-high with 74 points. The Badgers also scored 74 in a 74-51 win over Illinois at the Kohl Center on Jan. 12.
• Wisconsin allowed at least 60 points for just the second time in the last 12 games.
• UW shot 42.9 percent from the field and is now 12-2 on the season when shooting at least 40 percent.
• Wisconsin also improved to 12-1 on the season when owning the rebounding advantage after posting a 38-32 edge on the glass Sunday.
• The Badgers went 28-for-42 from the free throw line, setting season highs for both makes and attempts.
• UW’s 28 made free throws and 42 free throw attempts were the team’s most in over two years (Badgers went 38-for-44 vs. Mississippi Valley State on 12/23/11).
• UW’s 28 made free throws were its most in a Big Ten game since going 34-for-41 vs. Illinois on Jan. 15, 2011. The last time the Badgers attempted at least 42 free throws in a Big Ten game was on Feb. 6, 2002 when UW went 36-of-46 at the line in a 94-92 overtime win over Ohio State.
• The Badgers went 4-for-14 from 3-point range, marking the team’s Big Ten low for 3-point attempts this season. UW is now 89-16 under Bo Ryan when attempting 15 or fewer 3-pointers in a game.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior Ben Brust led the Badgers with 20 points, while grabbing five rebounds. This was Brust’s third time reaching the 20-point mark this season and the fifth time in his career that he has reached that plateau.
• Sophomore Frank Kaminsky poured in a career-high 19 points off the bench, going 12-for-14 at the free throw line. Kaminsky’s previous career highs for made free throws and free throw attempts was two.
• Kaminsky played a career-high 23 minutes, grabbing a season-best five rebounds with one assist and one steal.
• Senior Ryan Evans came one rebound shy of his seventh career double-double, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. He added two assists and a block.
