Wisconsin softball announces complete 2014-15 schedule

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women’s softball team will face six teams that advanced to the 2014 NCAA Tournament during the 2015 season, with home games against Green Bay, Minnesota and Nebraska highlighting the Badgers schedule.
The Badgers, who are coming off their third-straight NCAA tournament appearance after finishing the season with a 36-20 record and a 15-7 mark in Big Ten play, open their season at the Kajikawa Tournament in Tempe, Arizona on Feb. 6-8.
Wisconsin continues its campaign at the Texas A&M Corpus Christi tournament on Feb. 12-14, the UNLV tournament on Feb. 27-March 1 and the USF tournament on March 6-8. UW will also compete at the College of Charleston tournament on March 13-15.
The Badgers’ conference season opens with two series on the road as UW travels to Purdue on March 20-22 and Northwestern on March 27-29.
UW will host four Big Ten foes at Goodman Diamond, beginning with a series against Penn State on April 3-5. The Badgers continue their homestand with a doubleheader vs. Valparaiso on April 8, then face Iowa in a three-game set April 10-12. The Badgers will host a doubleheader against Green Bay on April 14, followed by a trip to Illinois April 17-19.
A doubleheader at home against reigning Big Ten tournament champion Minnesota on April 22 and a series facing defending Big Ten champion Nebraska on April 24-26 close out UW’s home slate. The Badgers wrap up their regular season on the road at Rutgers on May 1-3.
The 2015 Big Ten Tournament will be held in Columbus, Ohio at Ohio State’s Buckeye Field on May 7-10.
