TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin has now won four straight games, improving to 21-5 on the season and 8-5 in the Big Ten.
• UW improved to 152-65 (.700) in Big Ten play under Bo Ryan and 312-118 (.726) overall.
• The Badgers are now 6-2 against teams currently ranked in the AP top 25, the most such wins by any team in the nation.
• UW is now 9-2 away from home this season, going 6-2 in true road games and 3-0 in neutral venues. Among Big Ten teams, only Michigan State (10) has more wins away from than UW.
• The Badgers are 73-68 (.518) in true road games in 13 seasons under Bo Ryan, owning the most road wins and the winning percentage among all Big Ten teams in that span.
• Under Bo Ryan, Wisconsin improved to 18-6 overall against Michigan, winning 13 of the last 15 meetings. That includes a record of 12-2 against Michigan teams led by John Beilein.
• UW also posted its 5th win in its last 6 trips to Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.
• Wisconsin never trailed against Michigan, opening the game making 6 of its first 7 shots.
• Michigan pulled with 3 at 52-49 with 6:16 left in the game. Wisconsin would answer with a 15-3 run to pull ahead 67-52 with 1:17 remaining. Frank Kaminsky scored 10 of UW’s 15 points over that span and Josh Gasser had the other 5.
• The Badgers finished with 75 points, reaching at least 70 points for the 18th time on the season. UW scored 70+ points in a TOTAL of 14 games last season.
• Wisconsin shot 48.1% from the field overall and 42.9% from 3-point range. UW has shot at least 45% from the field and 39% from deep in 4 straight games.
• UW went 16-for-21 at the free throw line, getting the stripe at least 20 times for the 8th time this season.
• The Badgers held the Wolverines to 62 points, their third-lowest point total on the season.
• The Badgers held Michigan to just 19 first-half points, the Wolverines season-low for a half. Sunday also marked the third time UW has kept a team below 20 in the first half this season and the first time since limiting Northwestern to 14 points on Jan. 2.
• The Badgers had just two total turnovers, the school’s fewest ever in a road game (previous record was 3 at Illinois and Northwestern in 2011).
• UW’s 2 turnovers also equaled a season low (also had two turnovers against Prairie View A&M on Dec. 28, 2013). UW is averaging just 8.3 turnovers per game.
• UW’s two turnovers in 60 possessions is the lowest turnover percentage (3.3%) in a Division 1 game this season.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior Frank Kaminsky led Wisconsin with 25 points, posting his first-career double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds. Kaminsky’s 25 points marks the second-highest scoring game of his career. He also added 1 block and 1 steal.
• Sophomore Sam Dekker posted 15 points, 9 rebounds and 1 block. He went 2-for-2 from 3-point range and has now scored in double figures in 22 of UW’s 26 games.
• Junior Josh Gasser scored 13 points (3-for-4 from 3-point range) with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
• Junior Traevon Jackson tallied 9 points and dished out 6 assists with 0 turnovers in a team-high 37 minutes. He went 7-for-8 at the free throw line.
• Over the last two games, Jackson has just one total turnover in 65 minutes of action.
• Senior Ben Brust finished with 7 points and equaled his season-high with 9 rebounds.
