• With 76,535 fans in attendance, at least 75,000 fans packed Camp Randall for the 116th-consecutive home game -- a streak that dates back to Sept. 19, 1998 vs. UNLV.
• In Paul Chryst's last 13 games at Camp Randall, the Badgers have averaged 54.7 points per game and scored at least 50 points eight times.
• Wisconsin held Miami (Ohio) to 3-for-15 on third down (.200) which was the lowest of any opponent since Rutgers posted the same percentage on Nov. 1, 2014.
• UW's 58-point margin of victory is the largest since the Badgers defeated Indiana by 63 points (83-20) on Nov. 13, 2010.

• The shutout marks the second time in the past three years the Badgers have held their opponent scoreless in their home opener.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• In earning his first win as the Badgers' head coach, Paul Chryst improved his record to a combined 45-4 at Camp Randall Stadium as an offensive coordinator (2005-11) and head coach.
• With the win, Chryst is now the third-consecutive Badgers head coach to post a shutout in his first season at the helm.
• Senior QB Joel Stave won his 22nd game as a starter, passing Scott Tolzien (2009-10) for the fifth-most in school history.
• Stave moved into fifth all-time at UW for passing yards with 5,412, trumping Scott Tolzien (2008-10). He went 19-for-30 for 236 yards and three touchdowns, marking the 10th time in his career that he has passed for more than 200 yards in a game. Stave's three touchdown passes tied his single-game high, which he has recorded four times in his career.
• By completing a 22-yard pass to Alex Erickson in the first quarter, Stave passed Brooks Bollinger (1999-2002) to move into second place all-time at UW in career completions (433).
• Stave found five different receivers in going 6-for-7 for 93 yards on a scoring drive late in the second quarter, which was capped by a 15-yard touchdown catch by Robert Wheelwright.
• After throwing a second-quarter interception, Stave went 10-for-13 (with two drops by wide receivers) for 127 yards and a touchdown to finish the game.

• Junior WR Robert Wheelwright caught his third and fourth career touchdown passes. He finished the game with a career-high six catches, 79 yards and two touchdowns, marking the first time a Badgers player had multiple touchdown catches in game since Jared Abbrederis caught two scores against UMass on Aug. 31, 2013.
