Wisconsin travels for Big Ten Tournament semifinal

UW plays Indiana on Friday, ready for the rematch
The Wisconsin men's soccer team (11-3-3 overall, 4-2-2 Big Ten) will head to Westfield, Indiana this Friday to square off against Big Ten powerhouse Indiana (11-1-6, 3-0-5). The first time these two teams went head-to-head it was at the McClimon Soccer Complex on the Badgers' home turf. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, despite Wisconsin's constant barrage on the Hoosier's net. This time around, the match will be held in Westfield, Indiana at Grand Park at 1:30 (CT).

1. The Wisconsin men's soccer team drew the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten tournament and will travel to Westfield, Indiana for the semifinals. The Badgers will face Indiana at 1:30 p.m. CT on Nov. 11.
2. After hosting a Big Ten tournament game for the first time since 2008, UW showed why it's one of the best teams in the Big Ten right now by securing a 3-0 victory over No. 6 seed Ohio State to advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament. The Badgers used a second-half surge to break the scoreless tie and score three goals in one half, the most by UW in a single period this season.
3. The Badgers finished perfect at home in the regular season and are 9-0-1 when playing at the McClimon Soccer Complex this season after Sunday's win.
4. Junior Chris Mueller has dominated offensively this year including a team-high 57 shots and leads the team in points (24), goals (7) and assists (10).
5. Goalie Philipp Schilling earned himself Defense Player of the Week after an incredible performance against Indiana the first time the two teams faced.
6. Sophomore captain Sam Brotherton was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. He is just the sixth selection in program history.
7. Wisconsin's nine points against Ohio State on Sunday was the second-most the team has scored in a match this season. The three goals matched a season high set against Milwaukee, Green Bay and Western Illinois.
8. Wisconsin is outshooting opponents 210-175 and 87-68 in shots on goal.
9. The Badgers clinched their chance to host with an exciting 2-1 victory over the Buckeyes. Wisconsin claimed its first 10-win season since 2013 with the recent victory against the Buckeyes.
10. UW claimed its first in-state sweep since 2008, beating Marquette, Green Bay, and Milwaukee.
11. UW now holds a 23-27-5 mark in Big Ten tournament play. The Badgers last tournament title came in 1995. The Badgers snapped a five-match losing streak in Big Ten tournament play on Sunday as their last win in the tournament came in 2011 against Michigan, as the Badgers trounced the Wolverines 2-0 in University Park, Pennsylvania.
