MADISON, Wis. -- A total of 54 student-athletes from the University of Wisconsin have received the honor of earning spots on the fall Academic All-Big Ten teams, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.
Leading the way for the fall sports was football, which had 24Â student-athletes honored. It is the fifth-straight year the football team has had at least 20 Academic All-Big Ten honorees. Women's soccer had eight honorees, volleyball, men's soccer and men's cross country had six each and women's cross country had four.

Olin Hacker of men's cross country and sophomore women's soccer player
Natalie Jacobson were two of 16 student-athletes conference-wide recognized for maintaining a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade-point average.Â
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
