ATHENS, Georgia – Austin Mudd led the Wisconsin men's track and field team during the final day of the Spec Towns Invitational on Saturday as the fifth-year senior capped off the meet with a win in the 800 meters.
Mudd, who redshirted last year's track and field season due to injury, won the 800 meters in 1 minutes, 50.34 seconds, his best time in the event since the 2014 outdoor season. The Greenwood, Indiana, native was a first-team All-American in the 800 meters during the 2013 outdoor campaign.
Cooper Barth finished 10th in the 800 meters in 1:54.28, while teammate
McKena Ramos took 14th in 1:54.56.

Davis ran against a talent-packed heat and finished ninth in the 200 meters, clocking a time of 21.46, a career best.
Davis also finished fifth in the 400 meters in 48.70.
Coming off a fantastic first day at the Spec Town Invitational, redshirt sophomore
Riley Budde found success again on Saturday in the shot put. Budde would throw the shot 56 feet, 10 3/4 inches, earning a sixth-place finish.
Josh McDonald also participated in the shot put and finished eighth with a mark of 52-11.
