Ellenwood places fourth at Pan American Combined Events Cup

Junior tallies 5,814 points at international competition
MADISON, Wis. – A week after finishing fifth in the heptathlon at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships, Wisconsin women's track and field standout Georgia Ellenwood finished fourth in the event at the 2016 Pan American Combined Events Cup in Ottawa, Ontario, on Saturday.
Ellenwood tallied a score of 5,814 points during the competition that featured collegiate and professional athletes from Canada and the United States.
The Langley, British Columbia, native started the competition with a time of 14.85 seconds in the 100 hurdles before clearing 5 feet, 10 1/2 inches in the high jump.
After throwing the shot put 39-1, Ellenwood finished the first day of the heptathlon with a time of 24.58 in the 200 meters.
Ellenwood started the second day of the heptathlon strong, soaring 19-6 3/4 in the long jump. She threw the javelin 137-8 before finishing the competition with a time of 2:17.55 in the 800 meters
