POSTGAME NOTES
WISCONSIN VS. GEORGIA STATE
SEPT. 17, 2016
CAMP RANDALL STADIUM
TEAM NOTES
Today's captains: senior OLB Vince Biegel, senior RB Dare Ogunbowale and ILB Leon Jacobs.
• Today's attendance at Camp Randall Stadium: 79,883.
• Wisconsin won its 38th-consecutive non-conference game at Camp Randall Stadium, giving UW sole possession of the sixth-longest streak in FBS history. UW hasn't lost a non-conference contest at home since Sept. 13, 2003.
• UW improved to 76-9 at home since the start of the 2004 season. The Badgers' .894 win percentage is the second-best mark in the nation over that span, trailing only Oklahoma (67-7, .905 heading into game vs. Ohio State).
• The Badgers improved to 3-0 on the season, the team's best start since opening the 2011 season six consecutive wins.
• Trailing 17-13 with 11:36 remaining, the Badgers used their second, fourth-quarter comeback of the season to pull out the win (also trailed LSU, 14-13). Wisconsin has now put together four, fourth-quarter comebacks in 16 games under head coach Paul Chryst. Chryst has been part of a combined 12 fourth-quarter comebacks as an offensive coordinator and head coach at Wisconsin.
• Wisconsin has held opponents to an average of 7.0 points per game over its last 11 non-conference home games, dating back to the start of the 2013 season.
• UW finished the game with zero penalties for the first time since Nov. 15, 1997 vs. Michigan. The last Big Ten team to go without a flag was Ohio State vs. Rutgers on Oct. 24, 2015.
• Through 3 games, UW has a total of 8 penalties for 95 yards, an average of just 2.7 flags per game.
• The Badgers limited Georgia State to 2 total yards on five plays in the first quarter. UW has outgained its opponents 441-13 and amassed a time-of-possession advantage of 39:40 to 5:20 in the first quarter of its three games this season.
• Wisconsin limited Georgia State to just 33 yards rushing, the lowest total for a UW opponent since Hawai'i ran for just 15 yards on Sept. 26, 2015.
• UW has now held the ball for at least 36:00 in each of its three games this season. The last time the Badgers controlled the clock for at least 36:00 in three consecutive games was the final three contests of the 2010 season (at Michigan, vs. Northwestern and vs. TCU).
