MADISON, Wis. — With students of the University of Wisconsin-Madison returning this week for the spring semester, the Wisconsin men's basketball team wants to welcome them back to campus with a special "Welcome Back Students" event at the Kohl Center on Sunday, Jan. 22.
This new event will begin at 7:45 p.m. (CT) at the Kohl Center and will feature an opportunity for all UW students to watch a portion of the Badgers' practice as they prepare for their game against Penn State. In addition, there will be free giveaways, prizes and on-court contests throughout the night. The grand prize will be a $500 gift card, courtesy of Delta Air Lines, with other autographed items and gift cards up for grabs.
Students will also be able to enjoy a free make-your-own-cheese-fry bar. Top shoe string French fries with cheese sauce, pico de gallo, green onions, jalapenos, bacon bits and more. Plus, there will be ketchup on hand for any fry purist. For something to drink, students will be able to sample the new Aspire Sports Drink.
The event will conclude with a Q&A with student-athletes and coaches.
The "Welcome Back Students" event is presented by Delta Air Lines. Â
Admission is free. UW-Madison Students should enter through Gate A of the Kohl Center beginning at 7:45 p.m. Â A valid WISCARD must be presented to enter the event. Food, beverage, and giveaways are available while supplies last.
