SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- The Wisconsin women's golf team wrapped up its fall season with an impressive third-place finish at the Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky. UW was led by its four seniors, each of whom placed among the top 20 individuals.

The Badgers shot the second-best score of the final round to jump three places on the final day. Wisconsin is currently ranked 36th in the GolfStat rankings and finished behind just tournament host Louisville (ranked 41st) and No. 15 Illinois. Among the teams UW bested were No. 16 Kent State, No. 37 Kentucky, No. 46 East Carolina and No. 50 Memphis.

Senior Lexi Harkins, named the Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 12, recorded her second-consecutive top-10 finish, earning a share of fourth place at 5-over par for the 54-hole tournament. That is a career-best finish for the transfer from North Carolina. Here nine birdies were third-best among the 82 golfers.

Classmate Gabby Curtis finished in the top 10 for the third time in four fall events, tying for eighth place, just one stroke back of Harkins. Becky Klongland finished at 8-over par to earn a share of 13th place, her third top-20 finish this fall. Rounding out the senior foursome was Aya Johnson, who tied for 19th place at 9-over par. It was her second-straight top-20 finish.

Junior Jessica Reinecke tied for 55th place at 20-over par while freshman Mackenzie Hahn, competing as an individual, finished at 28-over and in a tie for 73rd.

Wisconsin's fall season is complete and the Badgers compete next at the UCF Challenge beginning on Feb. 4.
