This year McDonald shined in the invitational 3000 meters, earning a second-place finish on Saturday at the Armory.

Following McDonald's race, Eric Brown took to the track and delivered a sensational run of his own. After sitting in fifth place with a lap to go, Brown found an extra gear to finish in third place in the men's 800 meter invitational with a time of 1:51.12.
