Pomeroy, O’Neill earn top-three finishes on platform at zone meet
MADISON, Wis. — A pair of Badgers have qualified for the 2017 USA Diving National Championships.
Wisconsin freshman Kevin Pomeroy and sophomore Ethan O'Neill earned their spots in the upcoming national meet by securing top-three finishes on the 10-meter platform Sunday at the USA Diving Zone D Championships in Brown Deer.
Pomeroy took second place with a score of 266.40 points, with O'Neill totaling 248.75 to finish third. The pair are set to compete at the national championship meet, which begins July 29 in Columbus, Ohio.
O'Neill was a national qualifier in 2016, as well, and went on to finish 11th on the platform.
