1. Root, root for the home team: Both the Wisconsin men's and women's cross country teams are coming off of wins at the first home meet of the season. 2. Previously in Louisville: The Badgers made their last appearance in Louisville during the 2015 season. The women's cross country team placed sixth overall out of 30 teams led by then freshman Shaelyn Sorensen who finished in 26th place. 3. Fierce Four: Freshmen, Megan Olshanski, Izzy Owca, Trista Pringle and Taylor Nicholson competed unattached at the Mayflower Day Open in their first races since becoming Badgers.
