1. FIFTH TIME'S THE CHARM: The 2018 Armory Challenge marks the fifth season in a row that the Badgers have traveled to New York for this Invite. Last year's meet was successful for many Badgers who achieved PR times and marks across several events. A highlight of the meet was the distance medley relay team of Emma Langer, Gabby DesRosiers, Brenna Detra, and Sarah Disanza, who won the event by 12 seconds.
2. AMANN TO YOU: Senior pole vaulter Taylor Amann has been tearing up the competition since her early days as a Badger. As a senior, the Harland, Wisconsin, native has already won the first two meets of the season in the pole vault, marking her sixth-straight indoor pole vault win. Amann finished last year's indoor season as a Big Ten Champion clearing the bar with a personal record of 13-9 1/4 (4.20m).
3. A WEEK AGO: Last weekend, the Badgers put up some strong performances at the Larry Wieczorek Invite in Iowa City. Junior Banke Oginni was the runner-up in the weight throw with a toss of 70 feet, 6 1/2 inches (21.50 m), while teammate sophomore Sophia Rivera finished sixth in the finals for the shot put with a throw of 51-3 1/2 (15.63 m).
4. LUCKY 13: The Wisconsin Badgers come into this weekend's meet ranked No. 13 in the nation by USTFCCCA. The Badgers will face some other highly ranked teams, including No. 1 Oregon while in New York.
5. NEXT IS NEBRASKA: After this weekend's meet, the Badgers will travel to Lincoln to make their first appearance since 2013 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.
