Head coach Greg Guard
Opening statement
"Happy for our guys. I thought they did a good job of playing a complete game. For Ethan (Happ) to set the all-time rebounding record is a heck of an accomplishment. It's a testament to what he's done and the type of player he's become. I'm very happy for him. We did some good things. Obviously, there are some areas we need to improve on – and we will – but for the most part I was happy with our performance."

On heading to the Bahamas to play Stanford
"There are some things we always work on that won't change. We will continue to grow and become better defensively. I saw some good things tonight. I think we've taken steps forward tonight, but there are also some areas that still need to be worked on. Valuing the ball and taking care of the ball is something that we need to continue to get better at. There are times when we're really solid and others where we look pretty erratic. If you can do those two things well – defend and take care of the basketball – you give yourself a fighting chance at least. The things we work on every day are simple, but still they are hard to do. It's hard to be consistent. The goal is to become better by becoming more consistent."

On Nate's early aggressive presence
"I think he took advantage of his good positioning early on. Any time you can knock down a couple shots early is great. It ignites confidence, especially in a young player. I thought he did a good job of finishing around the rim. He got to the free throw line and hit a three early. He's just another young guy that needs to adjust to his increased strength and size. Any time he can get some positive experience is great regardless of the situation we are in."

Houston Baptist Head Coach Ron Cottrell
Opening statement
"Tough game. They played much harder and much better than we did. I didn't feel like we competed at the level that we have in previous games this year. Some of that certainly has to do with Wisconsin and the level of intensity they play with. They got our guys on their heels right from the beginning. I thought we played a couple stretches in the second half where we played more like we usually play, but was certainly not enough."

On Ethan Happ's stature as a player
"We have played against some really good guys, but none quite like him. He is unique type player. He doesn't shoot from the perimeter at all, but yet he just tears you up inside. He is so fundamentally sound and he sees the floor. He is a smart, solid basketball player who understands how to play the game so well."
