Softball adds Christaana Angelopulos to signing class

MADISON, Wis. -- Head coach Yvette Healy and her staff have another great addition to the 2018 signing class for Wisconsin softball. The Badgers will welcome Christaana Angelopulos next fall.
"Christaana is a power lefty hitter, and short-stop/catcher from Coach Pablo Severtson's Colorado Styxx Gold program. As a former teammate of current Badger, Lauren Foster, Christaana has a built-in network of familiarity and support at Wisconsin.
"She had a big arm on defense that gives her versatility on the field. Christaana's power from the left side the plate coupled with her athleticism make her an exciting addition to the Badger softball family."
A 5-1 middle infielder/catcher from Arvada, Colorado, Angelopulos is a four-time first-team all-conference honoree, two-time all-state honorable mention, first-team all state in 2018, a 5A Jeffco MVP in 2018 and owns a .521 career batting average and has 102 RBI.
