MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin softball team is set to take on their final non-conference test of the season, as they welcome St. Thomas (MN) to Goodman Diamond for a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 21.Â
Game one is set to start at 2:00 p.m. CT, as the second match will follow 30 minutes after its conclusion. Both games will be streamed on B1G+.Â
The Badgers (24-16, 9-9 B1G) and the Tommies (27-13, 8-4 Summit) will meet up for the second consecutive season in Madison, as UW earned a sweep in last year's matchup with scores of 15-2 (5) and 6-5. Junior Alivia Bark finished the doubleheader with a 5-for-6 (.833 BA) showing, recording two triples and four runs scored. Â
Wisconsin won two out of three games over the weekend versus Michigan, including a 14-12 walk-off win in the series finale courtesy of sophomore Kaylie Whidden's three-run blast in the seventh inning. Whidden tallied five RBI in a 2-for-2 performance, scoring three separate times to help secure UW's first series win over the Wolverines since the 2014 season.Â
Throughout the rest of the weekend, the top of the order produced at a high clip, including five hits turned in by senior Emily Bojan, who eclipsed the 100-hit mark in her career. Junior Hilary Blomberg followed suit, barreling a pair of home runs against Michigan. Blomberg sits alone at No. 2 for most HRs in program history, closing in on Kayla Konwent's (2017-23) record of 43.Â
UW enters Tuesday with an RPI rank of 35, good for its highest mark in the 2026 season. The Badgers boast a 15-7 non-conference record, looking to continue to improve their resume in the final two weeks of the regular season.Â
Up Next: The Badgers will hit the road to take on their rivals in Minnesota for a three-game series, beginning on Friday, April 24. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT, as the game will be streamed on B1G+.
