MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team (6-2) is back home Tuesday night after a weekend off to take on Marshall (3-4). Tip time is 7 p.m. from the Kohl Center. The two teams will be meeting for the first time in program history.

1. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin fell short in the 12th-annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, losing to Duke, 60-53, Nov. 28 at the Kohl Center. The Badgers are now 6-6 all time in the Challenge. UW outscored Duke in three of the four quarters, but it wasn't enough to overcome a second quarter drop where the Blue Devils outscored Wisconsin 21-9.

2. BADGERS TO THE LINE: Wisconsin got to the free-throw line more than twice as many times as the Blue Devils, hitting 14-23 for 60.9 percent. Duke shot 7-9 (77.8 percent) from the line.

3. DYNAMIC DUO INSIDE: Senior Marsha Howard grabbed her third double-double on the season, tallying a game-high 17 points and 10 boards. The senior now has eight double-doubles in her career. Howard also shot a career-high 5-5 (1.000 percent) from the free-throw line. Freshman Imani Lewis also scored in double figures for the seventh time this season, adding 11 points.

4. BOARDING: The Badgers have won in every game they have outrebounded their opponents. In UW's only two losses were they outboarded by a 44-43 with advantage to Arkansas and 38-31 against Duke.

5. SCOUTING THE HERD: The Thundering Herd (3-4) earned their second-straight win, 88-67, over the Coppin State Eagles Saturday afternoon. The Herd hit 16-of-32 from 3-point range. Senior Shayna Gore came close to a triple-double with 27 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Sophomore Kristen Mayo scored 18 points coming off a perfect 6-for-6 performance from beyond the arc.
