MADISON, Wis. – The No. 1 Wisconsin women's hockey team resumes WCHA conference play with a series on the road at St. Cloud State. Puck drop on Friday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center is set for 3 p.m. with the series finale at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Both games can be seen live on Fox Sports Wisconsin and online via Fox Sports Go and FloHockey.Â
1. HATS OFF: Senior Emily Clark is officially back after missing several weeks due to an injury as the 2018 Olympian netted a hat trick in UW's 9-1 win on Sunday. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native scored two goals in the first period before adding a third-period tally. The hat trick was just the second in Clark's storied career at UW, her first came in another nine-goal victory back on Jan. 13 of 2017 when the Badgers skated past St. Cloud State, 9-0. Â
2. ABOUT THE HUSKIES: Wisconsin takes on WCHA conference rival St. Cloud State for the first time this season. The Huskies are 5-13-1 (2-10-0 WCHA) in 2018-19 and are led by senior forward Julia Tylke who currently leads the team with 15 points off of six goals and nine assists. SCSU is on a two-game losing streak after being swept by Bemidji State last weekend.
3. EVERYBODY EATS: Wisconsin's offense has been absolutely dominant as of late, knocking in 15 goals over the weekend sweep of Syracuse. All four lines scored in Sunday's 9-1 victory over the Orange: Emily Clark and senior Annie Pankowski from the first line, Britta Curl from the second line, Alexis Mauermann and Sophia Shaver from the third line and Brette Pettet and Caitlin Schneider from the fourth line. In the sweep of Syracuse, 18 of the 19 skaters recorded a point led by Pankowski, who had five points. Â Â
4. HISTORY AGAINST THE HUSKIES: Wisconsin leads the all-time series against SCSU 74-8-2 and hold a 31-5-2 record in matchups in St. Cloud. UW on a 15-game win streak against the Huskies and have outscored SCSU 59-6 during the run. A pair of Badgers have also enjoyed great performances against St. Cloud State in seniors Emily Clark and Annie Pankowski. Both Badgers have recorded hat tricks against the Huskies and Clark has nine goals and seven assists against SCSU while Pankowski has seven goals and 11 assists in 14 games against St. Cloud State.
5. TV TIME: The Badgers wrap up their final games of 2018 with a televised conference series against St. Cloud State. Both games can be seen live on Fox Sports Wisconsin and Fox Sports North. Jim Rich and Mark Parrish will be on the call for both games. In addition, both contests will be streamed live on Fox Sports Go, the Fox Sports Go app and on FloHockey. UW is 2-0 in TV games this year, earning victories over Princeton 4-3 on Oct. 19 and a 2-0 win against Minnesota State on Nov. 3.Â
