Wellhausen named WCHA Offensive Player of the Month

Senior led the league in goals in March
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women's hockey senior Baylee Wellhausen was named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Month for March, the league announced Friday.
Wellhausen tallied a league-high four goals in March while leading the Badgers to their fifth-straight NCAA Frozen Four appearance. She was one of three players in the NCAA to record a hat trick in the month as she scored three times in UW's 4-1 win over Bemidji State in the WCHA Final Faceoff semifinals.
A co-captain for the Badgers, Wellhausen also added a goal in the Badgers' NCAA Frozen Four semifinal game.
???????Wellhausen was tied for the NCAA lead in March with a +8 plus/minus rating while she was one of only two players to record a short-handed goal in the month. In addition, her five points in March ranked second in the league behind linemate Abby Roque.
