UW to host 10 home series next season
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's hockey team announced its schedule for 2018-19 season on Tuesday, featuring many fantastic series for the back-to-back-to-back WCHA regular-season champions.
Season tickets will become available starting July 18 at 8:30 a.m. CT. New prospective season ticket holders may access them here. Single-game tickets will be available to purchase starting Sept. 11. Current season ticket holders will be contacted directly to purchase season tickets for the upcoming season.
The Badgers, who advanced to their fifth-straight NCAA Frozen Four last year, will play 24 WCHA conference games against their six league foes and 10 non-conference games. UW will face three teams that competed in last year's NCAA tournament in league foes Minnesota and Ohio State along with CHA Tournament champion Mercyhurst.
The Badgers return a pair of WCHA individual award winners in Abby Roque, who was named the WCHA Forward of the Year, and Kristen Campbell, the WCHA Goaltender of the Year. Campbell, who will be a junior next season, started every single game for UW during the 2017-18 season and was also named a second-team All-American.
UW also returns a pair of international standouts in Emily Clark and Annie Pankowski, who combined for 101 points during the 2016-17 season. Clark represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics while Pankowski was one of the final players cut from the U.S. squad.
UW opens its 2018-19 season at home against Lindenwood the weekend of Sept. 28-30 before hitting the road to Mercyhurst the weekend of Oct. 5-7.
The Badgers open their WCHA campaign against against Minnesota Duluth the weekend of Oct. 12-14.
The Badgers will take on Princeton for the first time since 1999, the weekend of Oct. 19-21, before welcoming Border Battle rival Minnesota to LaBahn Arena Oct. 26-28.
UW will also welcome non-conference foes Harvard and Syracuse to LaBahn Arena. The Badgers and Crimson will meet Nov. 23-25, marking the first time the two programs have met since the 2014 NCAA Quarterfinal, a game UW won 2-1. The Orange will make their first-ever trip to Madison Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
Wisconsin wraps up the regular season with a home series against Ohio State, who made its first NCAA Frozen Four appearance in 2018, the weekend of Feb. 22-24 at LaBahn Arena.
Specific game days and times will be announced at a later date.
