MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team faced its first tough test of the year on Thursday as the Badgers fell to No. 6 Florida State, 3-0, at the McClimon Complex.
 
The Seminoles (3-0-0) got things rolling early as they scored their first goal in the 18th minute. Freshman Yujie Zhao scored the goal on redshirt-sophomore's Kristen McFarland assist. Eight minutes later, the lead was two as senior Dallas Dorosy snuck one through Badgers' (1-1-0) junior keeper Jordyn Bloomer.
 
In the 73rd minute Florida State struck again, widening the lead to three on junior Deyna Castellanos' goal.
 
The Badgers were outshot six to four while they had a 4-3 corner-kick advantage in their home-opening contest.
