MADISON, Wis. – After starting the season with a straight-sets win over North Carolina, the ninth-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team is set to face Florida State on the final day of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Saturday's match begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be televised live on the Big Ten Network.

1. TAR HEELS TAMED: The Badgers opened their season with a sweep of North Carolina on day one of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. A strong start in the first set helped UW gain momentum early in the match, winning 25-13, 25-18, 25-16.

2. BALANCED BADGERS: UW hit .420 (40 kills – 6 errors – 81 attempts) in its season opener and had four players with six-or-more kills. Sophomore Dana Rettke led the charge with 10 kills while Grace Loberg added nine, Madison Duello notched seven and Molly Haggerty put down six kills.

3. DOUBLE TROUBLE: Setter Sydney Hilley recorded her first double-double of the season and the 10th of her career against UNC with 27 assists and 10 digs.

4. COURT REPORT: The Big Ten/ACC Challenge is being held at the Target Center, the site of the 2018 NCAA Final Four. The Badgers hope to make it back to the Target Center in December. Their last Final Four appearance was in 2013, Kelly Sheffield's first year at the helm of the program.

5. SCOUTING FLORIDA STATE: The Seminoles are 0-1 after falling in straight sets to Minnesota in their first match of the season. Christina Ambrose led FSU with 12 kills and added eight digs in the season opener. In 2017, the Seminoles finished in a three-way tie for fifth in conference play and had an 18-11 record overall.
