MADISON, Wis. – Competing in its second consecutive double-overtime match, the Wisconsin women's soccer team (8-2-3 overall, 3-1-3 Big Ten) took Maryland (3-6-4, 1-3-1) through 110 minutes of competition Sunday's senior day before ending in a 0-0 draw.
The match was even throughout its entirety, with no team having an advantage in any categories. Maryland outshot Wisconsin 12-10, however the Badgers held a 13-7 corner advantage. Both teams ended with four shots on goal and four saves.
Seven different Badgers logged a shot in the contest, with
Payton Wesley,
Maia Cella and
Dani Rhodes leading the team with two shots apiece.
Up next: Wisconsin hits the road for a three-game road trip, starting in Bloomington, Indiana against the Hoosiers. The match is set for Oct. 5 at 6:30 CT.
