The Badgers head to Bloomington for two-day competition
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team will hit the road once again and head to Bloomington, Indiana for the Indiana Relays.
Hosted by Indiana University, the Indiana Relays are scheduled to begin on Friday, January 25 with the track events at 4:00 p.m. (CT) and the field events to follow at 4:35 p.m. (CT). The meet will continue on Saturday, January 26 with the track events at 8 a.m. (CT) and the field events to follow at 8:35 a.m. (CT).

1. EXCELLENT EBONY: Senior Ebony McClendon stood out for the Badgers at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational last weekend. The sprint standout from Chicago took fourth place in the premier 60 meter dash, sixth place in the premier 200 meter dash, and was a part of the premier 4x400 that took seventh at the meet.Â
2. MOVING INTO THE TOP-10: UW had a trio of program top-10 marks last week in Iowa City. Meagan Blair moved into the top-10 in the long jump with a PR of 19 feet, 9 ½ inches. Bianca Stubler also cracked the top-10 in the 400 meters with an indoor personal best of 56.03 while the quartet of Gabrielle DesRosiers, Ebony McClendon, Morgan Parzych and Stubler earned a 4x400 time of 3:45.13.
3. FANTASTIC FRESHMEN: Wisconsin showed off their depth in Iowa City last weekend as 15 different freshmen competed in 12 different events. Morgan Parzych stood out among the young class. Parzych took fourth in the 600 meter dash, ninth in the 400 meter dash, and competed in the premier 4x400 meter relay that took seventh.
4. MULTI TIME: Phoebe Edwards, Jordan Hirsbrunner and Kelsey Sullivan will compete in the pentathlon at the Indiana Relays, marking the first time that the Badgers will partake in the pentathlon this year. Edwards earned a top-10 finish at last year's Big Ten indoor championships in the five-discipline event while Hirsbrunner and Sullivan will make their UW pentathlon debuts on Saturday.
5. UP NEXT: Following the conclusion of the Indiana Relays, the Wisconsin track and field team will send athletes to the Power Five Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Athletes competing in Ann Arbor will get a preview of the Big Ten Indoor Championships, as the University of Michigan is set to host the championships in late February.
