BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Wisconsin women's track team competed in the final day of the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday.Â

Gabby DesRosiers won the 400 meters, crossing the line with a season-best time of 55.19 seconds.
Haley Lubow also participated in the event and took sixth place with a time of 57.67.

The Badger pentathlon athletes were impressive at the meet on Saturday.
Jordan Hirsbrunner took second place overall with a score of 3,764 points in her first ever pentathlon. That score ranks 15th in the country and is the third-best score by a freshman this year. The Monroe, Wisconsin, native won the 800 meters and finished second in the high jump.

Phoebe Edwards finished just behind Hirsbrunner in third place with a score of 3,584. Edwards won the shot put and finished no lower than sixth in an event.Â
Josie Schaefer finished third in the shot put with a PR of  51-0 3/4 (15.56m) that ranks No. 9 in school history.Â

Alissa Niggemann and
Madison Mooney raced in the mile as Niggemann took second place at the Indiana Relays, finishing her mile in 4:48.89. Mooney, a true freshman, took eighth place after running the mile in 4:56.45.

In the 4x400 event, the quartet of
Gabby DesRosiers,
Bianca Stubler,
Haley Lubow, and
Morgan Parzych took second place in the event with a final time of 3:44.16, a top-five time in school history.Â
Meagan Blair and
Mary Bartelson competed in the triple jump event. Blair jumped her way to a 39-10 ½ (12.60m) leap putting her in second place. Bartelson took eighth place after a 37-11 ¼ (11.12m) jump.

In the 800 meter, Stubler took fifth place in 2:12.61 while Parzych took 14th place after finishing in 2:21.43.

The Badgers will next compete on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at the Power Five Invitational in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
