No. 13 Badgers host renowned cross country meet on Friday

MADISON, Wis. - The No. 13 Wisconsin women's cross country team hosts the 11th-annual Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course presented by Under Armour. The meet is scheduled to begin with the women's "B" 6,000- meter race at 11:00 a.m. (CT) with the men's "B" 8,000-meter race to follow at 11:40 a.m. The women's "A" race 6,000-meter is slated to begin at 12:20 p.m. and the men's "A" 8,000-meter will follow at 1:00 p.m.
Teams are allowed to run only seven athletes in the "A" race and an unlimited amount of athletes in the "B" races.

ANOTHER BIG HONOR FOR ALICIA: Last week, Alicia Monson was named Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after her runner-up performance at the Joe Piane Invitational, where she finished the 5,000- meter race in 16 minutes, 13.73 seconds to lead the Badgers to a sixth-place team finish.
2. HISTORIC NUTTY: The Wisconsin Badgers Cross Country team is coming off an individual sweep of champions last year with Alicia Monson and Morgan McDonald both placing first in their respective races. The Badger women placed sixth overall.
3. RANKED RUNNERS: The USTFCCCA released national and regional coaches poll last week placing Wisconsin at No. 13 nationally and No. 2 in the Great Lakes Region.
4. MACK'S MINUTE: "This is my first time coaching at Wisconsin at the Nuttycombe Invitational but it's a meet that I've been familiar with for a long time so working with the women and being around the program and getting to this point where we have this incredible opportunity to keep our season going and to lineup against the very best runners in the NCAA is something that we are all really excited about." -Head Coach Mackenzie Wartenberger
5. IMPRESSIVE FIELD:Â On the women's side, 20 of the top 30 teams in the country and six of the top 10 teams will be running at the 2019 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.

Spectator Shuttle
There is no spectator parking at the cross country course or University Ridge. Spectator parking will be located at Blackhawk Church in Middleton, Wisconsin. Spectator shuttles are available to transport spectators for $5 round trip. Accessible shuttles will be available. The shuttle service will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude one hour after the final race has finished. The shuttle will pick up and drop off at the upper level of the parking structure at Blackhawk Church.The meet will air live on FloTrack with live results available on PT Timing.
