Badgers to represent 2019 national team rosters

Eight Wisconsin alumni join US and Canada for international camp in Pittsburgh
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eight alumni of the Wisconsin women's hockey team will join Team USA and Team Canada in a week-long training camp at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. near Pittsburgh, USA hockey announced Thursday.
The Nov. 4-10 training camp between the US and Canada replaced the annual Four Nations Cup which was scheduled to be played in Sweden at that time. Both teams will face off in a pair of exhibition contests Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. ET and Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. ET.
Four former Badgers will join Team USA including Alex Cavallini (UW goaltender 2010-14), Hilary Knight (UW forward 2007-12), Sophia Shaver (UW forward 2015-18) and recent graduate and captain of the 2019 NCAA National Championship team Annie Pankowski (UW forward 2014-19).
Team Canada will roster four additional former Badgers including recent graduate and member of the 2019 NCAA National Championship team Emily Clark (UW forward 2014-19) along with Ann-Renée Desbiens (UW goaltender 2013-17), Sarah Nurse (UW forward 2013-17) and Blayre Turnbull (UW forward 2011-15).
The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex is a future site of a tournament for the Badgers as UW will join Robert Morris, Northeastern and Colgate at the Battle of the Burgh, Jan. 4-5.Â
