UW loses Big Ten game in OT

Badgers fall to Spartans 1-2
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime contest to Big Ten Conference rival Michigan State on Sunday at the McClimon Soccer Complex.
In a nationally televised game, Wisconsin (2-8-1, 0-2-1) overcame a first-half deficit to tie the game at 1-1 but the Spartans (2-6-2, 2-1-0) scored in the 94th minute of the match.Â
First half stats put the Spartans on top. Michigan State had four shots to the Badger's two, and were able to score in the 20th minute of the match to put them up 1-0.
The Badgers offense gained momentum off of a yellow card on Michigan State in the 55th minute of the game. Shortly after, senior, Duncan Storey, scored off a Ben Leas assist in the 66th minute.
The Spartans stuck the dagger against the Badgers in the 94th minute by scoring off an unassisted corner kick, ending the game with a 2-1 loss for UW.
