INDIANAPOLIS – The Wisconsin men's rowing team dominated the field at the Bald Eagle Invitational this weekend, taking home several first place victories and top finishes in the team's final regatta of the fall season. 

The Badgers, using a generally younger roster, took care of business this weekend by claiming five first-place finishes. UW took first in the Men's Novice Eight B, Men's Collegiate Four A, Men's Collegiate Four B, Men's Novice Four and Men's Collegiate Eight A.

Wisconsin also grabbed a pair of second-place marks in the Men's Novice Eight A and the Men's Novice Four.

The Badgers received huge efforts from their young roster in Indianapolis, often depending on individuals to perform in multiple races throughout Saturday's competition. Notably, sophomores  Galen Quinn,  Owen Lilleleht, Isaac Krahn and Breck Duncan, four major contributors from last weekend's Princeton Chase success, were crucial parts of the Men's Collegiate Eight and Men''s Collegiate Four victories.

"Our sophomores did their job in the varsity races I thought as a class they did well. That's the fastest times I've seen there."

"For the frosh, we have an abundance of talent and not enough time to come close to getting the 'A' & 'B' order correct hence our A finishing behind Virginia and our B winning by a vast margin with a better time than A. The average gap between A & C in years past was about 1:30, this year it was 24 seconds. That's a real good indication of depth, and depth at the frosh level raises competition, and raises speed across the team."
