UW and SCSU meet in best-of-three series at LaBahn Arena
MADISON, Wis. – The No. 2 Wisconsin women's hockey team opens postseason action this weekend against St. Cloud State at LaBahn Arena. UW and SCSU will meet in a best-of-three WCHA First-Round Playoff Series with the winner advancing to the 2019 WCHA Final Faceoff, March 9-10, in Minneapolis.
The Badgers and Huskies open their series on Friday at 4 p.m. and continue it on Saturday at 3 p.m. If a third game is necessary, it would start at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

- ANOTHER HONOR FOR PANKOWSKI: Senior Annie Pankowski was recognized as one of the nation's top players as the co-captain was named a top-three finalist for the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. Pankowski leads UW this year with 37 points thanks to 17 goals and 20 assists. It marks the second major award that Pankowski is a finalist for as she was named a top-five finalist for this year's Hockey Humanitarian Award, which is given to college hockey's finest citizen.
- NO SOUP FOR OPPONENTS: Kristen Campbell has been enjoying another great year in net for UW as she leads the country in wins (28) and goals-against average (1.15). Her seven shutouts are second in the country while she also ranks in the top-10 in save percentage (.932). She's the only goalie in the WCHA with more than 20 wins this year and looks to become the first Badger goaltender to post consecutive seasons of 30 or more wins in net.
- THE LA BAHN ADVANTAGE: Over the last four years Wisconsin has been dominant at LaBahn Arena as the Badgers have a 70-2-4 record at the rink, good for a .947 winning percentage. UW also holds an impressive record against St. Cloud State at LaBahn with a 16-1-0 record against the Huskies.
- A NEW SEASON: The Badgers enters postseason play this weekend against the Huskies. UW has won 13 of its last 14 WCHA postseason games and holds a 46-15-0 all-time record in conference playoff games.
- HISTORY AGAINST THE HUSKIES: UW is currently on a 19-game win streak against the Huskies and have outscored SCSU 79-10 during the run. The Badgers have dominated the series against St. Cloud State, winning the 41 of the last 42 meetings with the Huskies. Wisconsin leads the all-time series 78-8-2.
