Cameron Tysoe clocks a 1:40.04 in the 200 backstroke to qualify for NCAAs
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – At the Boiler-Make-It Last Chance meet, Cameron Tysoe made it fast.

The Wisconsin junior posted a personal-best time of 1 minute, 40.04 seconds in the 200-yard backstroke Sunday to secure a spot in the NCAA championships. Tysoe's time ranks 13th nationally in the event.

Topping his recent silver-medal swim at the Big Ten championships (1:41.29) by over a second, Tysoe's mark stands as UW's second-fastest in the event all-time.

For the Badgers, two is now company; Tysoe will join teammate MJ Mao, who automatically qualified in the 200 breaststroke (1:52.54), on the NCAA championship journey.Â

The meet, slated for March 27-30, will be held in Austin, Texas.
