IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Wisconsin swimming and diving team wrapped up the Big Ten men's championships with 593.5 points, good for sixth place in team standings.
Cameron Tysoe finished runner-up in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 41.29 seconds, a personal record for the junior and the second-fastest mark in UW program history. Madison native
Justin Temprano placed 11th overall, finishing in 1:44.11.

Kevin Braun and
Niko Stines – also helped secure sixth in the 400 freestyle relay with a finish in 2:53.28, a season-best mark and UW's eighth-fastest all-time.
Back (43.55) and
Tyler Zelen (45.02) placed 15th and 24th, respectively, in the 100 freestyle finals.
Also showing out for the Badgers, junior
Kevin Pomeroy finished eighth in platform diving, scoring 325.00 points.
On the heels of a sixth-place finish in the 400 individual medley on Friday, junior
Michael Milinovich clocked in at 1:44.69 in the 200 butterfly Saturday, good for eighth.
In the 200 butterfly "C" final, freshman
Frank Niziolek fashioned his first Big Ten conference meet with a 21st-place overall finish. (1:47.68).
Going the distance,
Matthew Hillmer placed ninth overall in the 1650 freestyle, clocking in at 15:09.71, a personal-best effort for the freshman.
Putting an exclamation mark on his exceptional meet – which included two UW records in the 100 breaststroke (52.28) and 200 breaststroke (1:52.54) – sophomore
MJ Mao secured 10th place in the 200 breaststroke final, touching in 1:53.76.
Mao, after securing an automatic bid in the 200-yard breaststroke, will set his sights on next month's NCAA championships.
