Badgers to open 2026 season vs. Western Michigan

UW and WMU to square off on Sept. 5 at Camp Randall Stadium
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin football team will kick off its 2026 season with a home game against Western Michigan on Sept. 5 at Camp Randall Stadium. This game joins the Badgers' previously announced 2026 home game against Pittsburgh on Sept. 19.
This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams, with Wisconsin holding a 4-1 advantage in the series. The last meeting came in the 2016 Cotton Bowl, with the Badgers prevailing 24-16. All four other games have been played in Madison.
With this announcement, UW's non-conference schedules are complete through 2026. Among Wisconsin's upcoming non-conference opponents are Notre Dame (2020 and 2021), Washington State (2022 and 2023), Virginia Tech (2024 and 2025) and Pitt (2026 and 2027). The Badgers are also scheduled to play a home-and-home series with UCLA in 2029 and 2030.

2019 SEASON TICKETS
The 2019 Wisconsin football schedule features one of the best home slates in recent years. Michigan, Michigan State and Iowa all visit Camp Randall Stadium while five of the seven home games will be played on or before Oct. 12.
Badger fans who are donors to Wisconsin Athletics can secure their tickets to be part of what is consistently ranked among the best college football atmospheres in the country. Returning season ticket holders can purchase their 2019 tickets here. Donors to Wisconsin Athletics who have not purchased football season tickets in the past can request 2019 tickets here.
