LONG BEACH, Calif. – In their final day of competition in California, the Wisconsin women's field athletes all placed in the top-25 in their events.
Banke Oginni competed in the invitational shot put and took seventh place. She had a throw of 53 feet, 2 3/4 inches.
Rayce Albino, who tied for fourth place in pole vault yesterday at the Pacific Coast Invitational, tied for ninth in the event today. She had a clearance of 13-3 3/4.
Two Badgers competed in the long jump at the Long Beach Invitational.
Mary Bartelson tied for ninth in the event with a leap of 19-3 1/2. Freshman,
Armoni Brown took 13th place with a jump of 19-1 1/4.
In the invitational discus,
Hanna Barton placed 23rd with a throw of 164-6.
The Wisconsin women's track and field team will return home before heading to Philadelphia to compete at the Penn Relays next weekend.
