MAINEVILLE, OH. – The Wisconsin women's golf team concluded its 2018-19 season at the Big Ten Championships in Maineville, Ohio with a top-10 finish Sunday.
After a rain-delay cancelled the second round of play, senior Nat Zeng responded strongly in Sunday's final round with a 69 (-3) to earn a share of 11th place individually with a 145 (+ 1) that led all Badgers in Ohio.
As a team, Wisconsin finished the final round with a strong 286 (-2), ending in ninth place out of the 14 Big Ten Conference teams.
The championships were the final outing for Zeng and fellow senior
Jessica Reinecke, a duo that were major contributors in the UW lineup over the past four seasons.
A native of Verona, Wisconsin, Reinecke was a two-time top-15 finisher for the Badgers this season and competed in every event for UW during her junior and senior seasons.
Zeng, a native of Bangkok. Thailand, was electric for Wisconsin down the stretch of her senior season, placing in the top-25 of the field in the final three events of the year.
