Wisconsin women’s track team to send seniors off at home
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin track and field team will host the final meet of the regular season at home on Friday at the McClimon Track Complex. The Wisconsin Alumni Classic is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. CT with the throwing events and the running events to follow at 4 p.m.

Spectators wishing to attend Friday's meet can find parking in the lots surrounding the track complex for $10. Cash and credit cards will both be accepted. Fans can also follow along on Instagram and Twitter (@BadgerTrackXC) and can catch a recap following the meet on UWBadgers.com.
1. THANK YOU, SENIORS – The Wisconsin women's seniors will compete in their final regular season meet this weekend. UW will honor 15 student-athletes at 6:05 p.m. CT at the McClimon Track Complex.Â
2. SEASON OF CHAMPIONS – Championship season is set to kick off in Iowa City, Iowa on Friday, May 10 with the 2019 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Iowa City, Iowa. Two weeks after Big Tens, UW will turn its attention to the NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento, California, before closing out the season with the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 5-8, in Austin, Texas.Â
3. RECORD SETTING RELAYS – At the Penn Relays, two Wisconsin relay teams set school records. The women's 4x200 relay team set the record, finishing in 1 minute, 38.95 seconds, taking 11th place. The women's 4x400 team took second in the event and set the school record with a time of 3:37.85.
4. ABOUT THE MEET – The Badgers will welcome UNI, Marquette, Loyola and Illinois State to McClimon for this year's Wisconsin Alumni Classic. The women's hammer throw and men's shot put kickstart the meet at 12:30 p.m. at the UW Throws Facility, located behind the Nielsen Tennis Stadium, while the women's 100 hurdles is the first event on the track at 4 p.m.Â
5. WELCOME BACK KELSEY AND GEORGIA – A pair of NCAA champions return to compete at McClimon in 2016 discus champion Kelsey Card and 2018 heptathlon champion Georgia Ellenwood. Card, a 2016 Olympian, will throw the discus while Ellenwood will compete in both the 100 hurdles and the 200 meters.Â
